Blue Eyes

Still working on this one. It's just normal graphite/pencils, but I added some color to it in PS to make it more interesting.

Figures, I have a massive amount of work to do for the comic relaunch, I've got a commission and an art trade hanging over my head, and a half dozen pieces I want to work on...and I just sat down to just practice some face drawing to unwind a bit and ended up with this (over the course of a few days). Bah. I haven't done something this emo emotive in a very long time, so this was kinda nice. I have some coloring ideas for it (that's not just coloration of the pencils ), so this'll get scrapped when I get those done.

Oh, and the character's name is Svetlana. As you might imagine with a name like that, I was going for Slavic features when I sat down to work on her. Not sure how well I succeeded. She surprised me with her short hair style. Used to be longer and wavy in my first sketches of her, but apparently she cut it when she got older.
